Five Beyoncé Songs To Get You Through This Semester Jayda Ward August 18, 2016 Lifestyle 387 Tweet Share Share Email WhatsAppShares 0 As the school year dawns upon us.. reality begins to hit. Overbearing professors, long classes, and 6 page syllabuses are coming our way once again. College is a test of trials on your journey to find yourself and that can sometime be a lot for one to handle. So, Listen up Bey hive! Here are five Beyoncé songs (in no particular order) to keep you motivated this upcoming semester. Independent Woman: Independent Woman, the ultimate ladies anthem featured in the ultimate girl’s night movie. Ok maybe I was reaching but I do love love love Charlie’s Angels. “All the women who are independent Throw your hands up at me All the honeys who making money.” An independent woman is one who goes out and achieves her goals! Don’t let boys, enemies, or even friends deter you from your goals. This is YOUR life at the end of the day. The best thing you can do for yourself is to help yourself live a better life in the future. Freedom: “I break chains all by myself Won’t let my freedom rot in hell Irma keep running cause a winner don’t quit on themselves. “Ok folks the queen Bey said it herself, a winner does not quit on themselves… Keep working hard, it will pay off in the long run Survivor: “I’m a survivor, I’m not gon’ give up, I’m not gon’ stop, I’m gon’ work harder.” Tests, quizzes, projects, presentations, sometimes it’s all too much! School can get so stressful that it makes you want to fucking explode and give up but don’t of course. Turn on this song, let the music flow through your body, and know that you WILL survive the year. Diva: “Diva is a female version of a hustler.” This song makes you want to be the baddest most successful woman you can be! This song always gets me hype and motivated. FORMATION: Formation is an anthem of empowerment “I dream it, I work hard, I grind till I own it.” The school year is nearing and it is time for us to get in formation. You want that 4.0? Work for it. You want that internship? Work for it. Get in Formation. You can’t do college over (technically you can, but I mean who wants to waste money?), so do it right the first time. Remember to keep your faith strong and stay on top of your work. You can do it.
