America’s Next Top Model: Cycle 3 Appreciation Post Jayda Ward March 28, 2017 Lifestyle 1176 Tweet Share Share Email WhatsAppShares 0Tyra Banks will be returning to America’s Next Top Model! I’m sure we can all admit that without Tyra Banks as the host of America’s Next Top Model , it wasn’t the same. Her attitude made the show. Without Tyra, it wasn’t worth watching to me but now that she is returning as a main host and judge, I will for sure be tuning in. Its no secret that the best seasons of America’s Next Top Model are from the earlier seasons. Particularly Cycle 3, which bred a lot of great memes and big stars. Lets take a look at our three favorites from cycle 3 Eva Marcille The early season of America’s Next Top Model were filled with characters. Eva Marcille (Pigford) was one of them. Notably one of the most recognized faces of America’s Next Top Model, the winner of Cycle 3 went on to have a successful career after the show. Marcille was a hot commodity once season 3 of ANTM wrapped up. She was signed to Ford Models and appeared in numerous modeling and acting campaigns including a spread in Elle Magazine and a contract with Cover Girl. Afterwards Eva dropped Pigford from her name so that she could get acting roles without the clout from America’s Next Top Model. Marcille went on to act in the legendary daytime soap opera, The Young and the Restless for 72 episodes. Marcille also appeared in the comedy I Think I Love My Wife and as a cast member on Oxygen’s reality-TV series Girlfriend Confidential: LA. These days you can find Marcille dominating social media with her beautiful features. Marcille currently has over 1 million followers on Instagram, which is pretty neat considering that the social media app wasn’t even around when Marcille was on America’s Next Top Model. Marcille currently has a son with singer Kevin McCall. Yaya Dacosta Yaya Dacosta also appeared in cycle 3 of America’s Next Top Model as the runner up to Eva Marcille. Likewise, she had a great career after the show. Dacosta had minor roles in Ugly Betty and All My Children, TRON: Legacy, The Butler, and The Kids Are Alright. Most notably, Dacosta was casted to play the late Whitney Houston in the 2015 Lifetime biopi, I Will Always Love You: The Whitney Houston Story. Dacosta’s role in the Whitney Houston biopic awarded her a lot more fans and attention which ultimately led her to secure a main role as April Sexton on Chicago Med. Toccara Jones Everyone loved Toccara. This bubbly plus sized model paved the way for girls like her in the later seasons. When she made her first appearance on the show, judges were taken aback: But eventually they came to their senses. Not only did the audience love Toccara so did the judges AND the camera. When she was on America’s Next Top Model Cycle 3, she won cover girl of the week FIVE times. Who would’ve thought that a plus size model could dominate a show like that. Although she didn’t win, jones went on to sign a plus sized modeling contract with Wilhelmina Models. This was huge because most of the contestants on the show are only offered contracts if they win. Toccara went on to appear in . Jones also created her own intimate apparel line giving plus sized girls everywhere confidence.
