The beautiful, white sandy beaches of St. Barth welcomed 13 Victoria’s Secret Angels out of the cold and into the sunshine and clear blue waves. Despite most fans anticipating a runway style special similar to that of the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, the Swim Special showed the Angels in a fun and flirty environment singing, dancing, and of course, modeling the newest and sexiest swim suits for this season.

The Swim Special aired exclusively on CBS on Wednesday March 9 and included special guest performances from Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas for two separate dance parties with the Angels. Fan favorite Candice Swanepoel, who has been an Angel since 2010, was highlighted for her endlessly fierce photographs as Ed Razek, senior creative of Victoria’s Secret, stated “she is the sexiest woman on the planet,” but that wasn’t enough to take away from the other 12 beautiful Angels on the island. The models described their swim trip to St. Barth as “rock n’ roll, cool, luxurious, and glamorous” making it the trip of the year for the Angels that everyone wants to be on.

The Swim Special wasn’t all work and no play, the Angels had plenty of time to play around the island and party with one another. The glamorous, usually made-up models ventured to the ocean to enjoy jet skiing, swimming, and playing volleyball on the beach, while shooting for the summer 2016 swimwear catalog. By day, vibrant patterns, colors, and cutout swim suits were sported throughout the special whether while the Angels were lying on the beach, splashing in the current, or hanging poolside with wet hair. But by night, the Angels were dancing, singing, laughing, and talking selfies alongside Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas’ exclusive performances for the Swim Special.

Despite some disappointment from fans who were expecting a runway experience, the second annual Victoria’s Secret Swim Special made a lasting impression and huge inspiration for what ladies will be wearing all summer long.
