From one genre to the next,the music mogul continues to produce hit singles. 2016 has been a fruitful year for Mike Will. While there’s still a few months left in this year for the producer and songwriter to make more hits , I’m eager to know what’s in store for next year!

Mike Will, born Michael Len Williams II, has made quite the impact in the music industry. From Marietta, Georgia, a star would emerge! Mike Will comes from a family of musicians. His father’s a former IBM executive and his mother a former member of a gospel group. Mike Will’s sister played the drums and became a drum major in the Olympics. His uncle was a guitarist. The apple sure didn’t fall far from the tree!

At the young age of 14, he started to make his own beats. Inspired by music producers such as Dr. Dre, Timberland, Shawty Red, DJ Toomp, and Pharrell, Mike Will would go on to produce countless hits that would reach the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart. In 2006 he started his own production company    EarsDrummers Entertainment. Amongst artists signed to his label are Rae Sremmurd , who’s group name is the backward spelling of his label’s name.

Mike Will attended college after graduating from high school but later dropped out after his first successful produced single, “Tupac Back”, in 2011. Mike Will immediately worked harder on his music knowing that he had made a risky move. Fortunately, Mike Will would make the best out of it. Shortly after, he would link up with Gucci Mane , who at the time was a major artist. After establishing a business relationship with Gucci Mane, he would soon produce beats for other major artists.

Mike Will have produced hits for artists such as Rocko, 2-Chainz, Future, Waka Flocka Flame, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, and Juicy J just to name a few. In 2013 he won the producer of the year. Imagine his current accolades after his Rae Scremmurd productions!

Some of his recent hot singles include “No Sleep”, “How It Feel”, “Set The Roof”, “Waybach”, “Paparazzi”, “No Sleep”, “Guwop Home”, “Shabba”, “Nothing Is Promised”, and “MF’N Right”. The beat just keeps on going! I’m sure there’s more to come. Don’t you miss it!
