By way of Evanston, Illinois, Arthur Garcia is a growing visual artist who got his start in photography during his high school career when he would take photos via his phone, but his passion for the lens life only grew stronger and eventually he took to the camera to produce his music photography. Q: What is your full name?

A: Arthur Garcia

Q: Where were you born/where do you currently reside?

A:  I was born in Evanston IL Currently reside in Lake Zurich IL North Suburbs. 

Q: What inspired you to want to do photography?

A: I started in high school with just using my phone of taking photos of like downtown Chicago and like things I find cool to me.

Q: How long have you been doing photography?

A: I have done photography for 5 years.

Q: When you’re behind the lens, what kind of feelings do you get when you’re shooting?

A: I just get in my zone with it and focus try my best to get that perfect shot.

Q: What is one of the best shoots you have ever done?

A: My best shot is a picture of Warhol on top of a stairwell and his feet on a stove with him hitting his backwood it blew up.

Q: Who are some individuals you hope to shoot one day? What event do you plan to shoot one day?

A:  I want to shoot for everyone who is mainstream and everyone who are underground.

Q: What are your ultimate goals for yourself and your career?

A: My ultimate goals are to keep building my craft and keep making a name for myself and go on tour with a artist and keep networking and put myself out there.

Q: Who are your inspirations?

A: My inspirations are because he came from nothing and just blew up. 

Q: Aside from photography, is there anything else that you do and could you elaborate on those talents?

A: Yes I plan on teaching myself on shooting music videos I study alot of videographers like Cole Bennett, whylonewolf, lakafilms, LostTVinc, Jake Osum

Q: Do you have a specific lens you use for your shoots?

A: I just use a 18-55mm canon lens for my shoots. 

Q: How would you define the style/aesthetic of your shoots?

A: Some of my shots are just natural.

Q: Are you currently working on any projects?

A: I have a behind the scene shoot with a Chicago artist with LostTVinc. 

Q: What was it like to shoot artists such as Warhol and Famous Dex?

A: It was a awesome experiences people where saying my name in the crowd at the lyrical lemonade summer bash I was just like what people know who I am I was shocked.

Q: What are some of the most common themes in your photo shoots?

A: Most of my photoshoots themes I like to switch it up and go to different locations so the picture sticks out.

Q: When you edit your photos, what style do you go for?

A: I kinda just look at the picture and see what I have to touch up to make it look nice.

Q: When it comes to the confidence of the models, or the people you shoot for, how do you get them to do exactly what you want? What steps do you take to ensure the photoshoot turns out how you envisioned it?

A: I talk to them while we are walking and ask what kind of photo do you want to take and how do you want them. I’m just creative with it

Q: What is your opinion on visual/graphic artists not getting the recognition they deserve, when it comes to creating art for musicians/events?

A: They should deserve recognition because they put in the grind and time and effort for it. Everyone is just trying get paid and walk away happy.

Q: What can we expect from you in the remainder of 2017 and 2018?

A: You will expect more dope photos from me and moving in silences while doing it.
