Emerging from the small town of Ypsilanti in Michigan, with an estimated population of 20,000 people, Fellie Wilson is a growing rapper, who’s passion for music only blossomed a year ago. Blending his love for anime and RPG games, Wilson, developed the stage name FellieTheMage. In the short time that FellieTheMage’s career has taken off, he has performed at the 2016 Summer Jamz festival, alongside major names in Detroit such as, DOUGHBOYZ and TONETONE, and has moved to Los Angeles to successfully launch his music career. After the recent release of his EP, $ixPaths, featuring his staple track, Thumbin’, Mage plans to release another project this year, but the details are undisclosed at the moment.

Q: Thanks for wanting to be a part of Freelancer Magazine, we really appreciate it. So, for those who may not know you, how would you address yourself to the audience? 

A: No thank you! I like the vision, I go by 2 names Felliethemage/ Lil sith


Q: What is the meaning behind your stage name ‘FellieTheMage’? 

A:  I’m big on anime and RPG games like a nerd lol I just blended my likes


Q: How long has music been a part of your life? 

A: Honestly I’ve only been making music for a year now! Feel in love with it during the summer.


Q: Did you know that you always wanted to do music? 

A: NOPE! I thought I’d be a hooper or trap for a century lol


Q: When did you decide you wanted to take music seriously?

A:During the summer, when people from out of state started paying me for verses and little shows. I love the concept of getting paid for words. 


Q: Where do you currently reside? 

A: I’m from Ypsilanti Mi but I just recently moved to LA 


Q: What are some of your best accomplishments from 2016 and how do you plan to make 2017 better? 

A: Summer Jamz 16′ preforming with big names in Detroit like DOUGHBOYZ and TONETONE. And the out of town shows


Q: What can you tell us about your latest release, I’m Different? 

A: It was a EP I dropped just to give a taste of my different styles 


Q: How would you describe the theme/vibe of this project? 

A: Several different vibes! That’s what I was aiming for.


Q: Were there any challenges during the creation of this project? 

A: Not really I had some dope producers and engineers working with me I just put he heat down


Q: How long did it take you to create this project? 

A: 2 weeks. Which is the reason why I’m taking so long with this next project I believe more time put in better content 


Q: Who helped you produce this EP?

A:  Juan Micheal OG, Milo Scarcetti, Morris Blackwell, Rich Young’n Tone, David Blue! I love these guys, they help a lot.


Q: What was your favorite part/favorite song on this EP? 

A: Serpent Stains. Because it had a feature from my homie upcoming artist FreeSlave Kato he’s raw people need to hear him! 


Q: What was the process in the creation of this EP?

A: Long night in the booth. Smokes, drinks, females lol too much to say. I just had to stay focused on the project it was fun making this one.


Q: How is this project different/similar to SIXPATHSOFPAIN and 7 WAVE$?   

A: $ixPaths was a more set in stone project I work a long time for it. And I believe it’s still my best one yet!


Q: What can you tell us about SIXPATHSOFPAIN and 7 WAVE$, as well as one moment you enjoyed creating each project? 

A:  7Wave$ was my first project i don’t honestly like it as much because I believe I’ve grown as a artist so much but I love the song I made on it called VLONE WAVES it’s a banger. SixPaths was a more serious project that was fun to make but I wanted to have it set my type of flows and I enjoyed making “thumbin”  the most I had my bro milk in the booth with me.


Q: Do you mind telling us about your single, Rest Up Remel, and what it means to you? 

A: Rest up REMEL was a single I dropped to mourn the death of my childhood friend Remel Davis I put a lot of deep thoughts and emotions into this track! 


Q: How would you describe the music that you make? 

A: My music could catch any vibe I feel like a person could have. I have hype dance music I have deep thinking music drug addict music lol you name it.


Q: What goals do you hope to achieve in 2017? What are some things you want to accomplish/do in 2017? 

A: Release my new project I don’t have a official title yet and work on promoting my music in LA! WE GETTING A DEAL THIS YEAR:)


Q: Will you be dropping any mixtapes/albums in 2017? 

A: Yes! The title is un official just look out for it! It’s gonna be a banger 


Q: If you could describe the future of your music in one word, how would you describe it? 



Q: Is there anything you would like your supporters to know? 

A: Just keep supporting everybody gone know the sound soon!


Q: What advice would you give to those who are rising in the music industry as well? 

A: Stay true to what you do and always RIDE YOUR OWN WAVE
