Its ladies night. Grab your favorite girl and your favorite bottle of Champagne (or wine) and indulge in all of these chick flick cult classics. In no particular order, here is a list of classic chick flicks on Netflix.

1. Clueless (1995)

Quote:“So okay, I don’t want to be a traitor to my generation and all but I don’t get how guys dress today. I mean, come on, it looks like they just fell out of bed and put on some baggy pants and take their greasy hair (eww!) and cover it up with a backwards cap and like, we’re expected to swoon? I don’t think so.” -Cher

Starring: Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash, Brittany Murphy and Paul Rudd.

The pink. The Fur. The Gloss. The Fashion. Clueless is about a popular high school student named Cher who’s life completely switches when an unpopular student she gave a makeover to becomes more popular than her. Watch it on Netflix now because it will be leaving in February!

2. Save the Last Dance (2001)

Quote:“Excuse me, I ain’t walkin on egg shells just cause you brought the Brady Bunch to the negro club.” – Nikki

Starring: Julia Stiles, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Kerry Washington.

Before there was Step Up! there was Save The Last Dance. Im not even sure how many times I’ve seen this romantic drama. Save The Last Dance tells the story of a white high school student who enters in an interracial relationship with her classmate after bonding over their love for dance. The two face a series of challenges throughout the movie because of their relationship.

3. Titanic (1997)

Quote: “You must do me this honor. Promise me you’ll survive. That you won’t give up, no matter what happens, no matter how hopeless. Promise me now, Rose, and never let go of that promise.” – Jack

Starring: Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio

Break out the tissues for this one. This has to be one of my favorite love stories of all time. Titanic tells the story or Rose and Jack, two star crossed lovers who meet aboard the infamous ship The Titanic. The raw emotion between the two characters has made this a romantic drama cult classic. Sometimes the best love is short lived.
PS: We still think Leo deserved in Oscar for this role.

4. Home (2015)

Quote:”Your mistakes are what makes you human.” -Oh

Starring: Rihanna, Jim Parsons, Jlo

Badgalriri takes over the animation world in this loving family adventure. We all love Rihanna and this movie lets us see her in a different light. Even though this is a family movie, we can all appreciate Rih on the big screen. We can also appreciate the main characters representation of brown skinned girl. It was an important representation for many black kids growing up in todays white washed society.

5. The Wedding Planner (2001)

Quote: “What if what you think is great, really is great, but not as great, as something greater.”

Starring: Jlo and Matthew McConaughey

This movie tells a love story as old as time: You like him and he likes you.. But he has a girlfriend. Or in this case a fiancee. This love story had us all rooting for Jlo.
