Nike Fur Slides D.I.Y. Shaakira White May 24, 2016 Fashion 908 Tweet Share2 Share Email WhatsAppShares 2Last month, Rihanna and Puma released a beautiful fur slipper that came in white, black, and my personal favorite, pink. It was only a matter of time before they were sold out, both in store and online. Customers were dropping $80 on the new shoe. I am a Rihanna fan, but I’m a fan of my bank account even more so. If you’re anything like me, saving money while still being up to date on the new trends is important to you. Since I was not willing to pay the $80 for RiRi’s new shoe, I paid $26 for a simple D.I.Y. What you’ll need: A pair of Nike Slides 1 6ft. boa (in a color of your choice) Hot glue gun and hot glue gun sticks Step 1: On a covered surface, warm up your glue gun and cut the boa in half. Step 2: The boa has a rope in the middle of it, taking that rope, hot glue the boa to the top of the Nike slides. Glue in a ‘S’ or snake like movement so that there aren’t any gaps in between the fur. (Allow each row to dry before moving on to the next row. Step 3: Once the top of the slides are filled, trim the fur down to your liking. I trimmed the side that would be touching the ground to minimize the chances of things getting caught inside of it. I also trimmed the top down so that it looked even. That’s it! I receive so many compliments when I wear them from men and women alike. I also enjoy that I can be cute and comfortable at the same time, while saving myself $54 in the process. Sorry RiRi, I’ll be making my pink slides next!
