via WWDReviewing Rihanna’s Spring 2018 Fenty Puma line Janai Jones September 13, 2017 Clothing Lines, Fashion 137 Tweet Share Share Email WhatsAppShares 0On the night of September 10th, during New York Fashion Week at Park Avenue Armory, pop icon, Rihanna, debuted her spring line for Fenty Puma. I personally love the look of this season’s collection. Rihanna manages to combine the fresh feel of spring with the edginess of the 90s. The color palette of the 2018 Fenty Puma features a mixture of bright colors and neutrals, consisting of navy, orange, neon pink, neon green, hunter green, white, black, and pastel teal. This vintage feel is captured with the incorporation of baggy, low rise pants, flowy crop tops, and oversized jackets. Rihanna is definitely venturing into new territories with this line as this season also incorporates body hugging silhouettes and swimwear, along with her own version of athletic overalls. Because of the popularity of The Yin and Yang symbol in the 90s mainstream culture, this symbol can be seen in several pieces within Rihanna’s collection. One of my favorite looks from the runway show has to be the orange athletic two piece featuring an off-the-shoulder crop top and biker shorts. This versatile look is perfect for a Girls Night Out or a day when you feel like dressing cute to class or work. This collection’s capability to create flexible looks for various occasions. reflects Rihanna’s own versatile style. The graphic font of the brand displayed on the clothing also adds to the cool aesthetic of this collection. Rihanna continues to make athletic wear one of the biggest trends right now, and this collection will surely be the hottest thing to own this spring.
