The festival takes place at Indio, CA from Apr 13 – Apr 22, 2018. The celebration spends over two weekends and features a number of new and upcoming rock, indie, hip-hop, and electronic dance music performers across a number of different stages. This year’s Governor’s Ball Festival will take place from June 1st- June 3ed in · New York City’s Randall’s Island Park. Many of the A-list acts seen on Coachella’s lineup also make an appearance at the Governor’s Ball Festival for all of the East Coast listeners but artists like “Yeah Yeah Yeahs,” “Halsey,” “N.E.R.D,” and “Khalid” These similar, yet, diverse lineup could shape up to be a great time for audience members. The Festival came to life when founder Tim Sweetwood saw a need for indie based music in Atlanta. Named by USA Today to be one of the best festivals in America this lineup showcases some of indie’s most successful groups to date, like, “All Time Low,” ” Vance Joy,” and “Cake” and “Basement” while still giving stage time to newer groups as well. It’s clear that the Shaky Knees Festival turned to its alternative style indie. Bands and fans are set to gather together at Atlanta’s Central Park from May 4th -May 6th. The Notable performs for this year’s lineup include, “Paramore,” “St. Vincent” and “Citizen” as the festival’s management begin’s to pull in larger, acts that define it’s rock roots the festival’s popularity will reach across all platforms of the music community. The Van’s Warped Tour has been a staple for the punk and alternative music community for generations. It is one of the only of it’s kind. The bands selected for the tour come from all over the world to spend each day of the tour in a different city across America. The announcement by festival producer, Kevin Lyman was of some surprise to many. “Today, with many mixed feelings, I am here to announce that next year will be the final, full cross-country run of the Vans Warped Tour,” – Kevin Lyman (Twitter) Though the festival has had mixed reviews in recent years it has been speculated that the tour’s team has pulled in a number of high profile bands in efforts to making this tour’s final run a good one.
