Thinking of millennials, some would think that they are being haunted by the looming demons of instant gratification and technology, but most don’t take into consideration the independence and the talent that continues to grow in this generation. With a sense of independence and a musical talent, many are taking the stand to become their own person and their own voice, by becoming independent artists. In the case of Louis Antoniou, he’s an independent artist that is no new face to the Nottingham rock & roll scene. With his bluesy stigma, Antoniou is rapidly rising to the top of the UK music realm. It wasn’t until he attended university in the north that Antoniou built a following for himself, as well as a nod to his performance at Y-Not Festival, an annual music festival held in Pikehall, Derbyshire, UK which helped gain momentum on his recogniton . While at university, Louis invited over 150 people to The Jam Cafe for his debut EP launch party. He also performed live on Notts TV, as well as appearing at numerous Hockley Hustles.

After moving back to the city to focus on his music career, Antoniou has released his latest single, Bad Apple, on March 3rd, 2017. Bad Apple offers a no-nonsense, punk, gritty sound that will be sure to push him into the limelight.

Along with Bad Apple, in April, Louis will release “I Don’t Want No More Woes,” a slower, emotional side to this two part, single release. Using analogue equipment and recording processes, Antoniou recorded these beautifully crafted singles at the infamous Gizzard Studios in East London. Gizzard Studios has seen the likes of artists such as Mark Ronson, Mr. Hudson, and The Skints.

When asked on his process in writing and creating these tracks, Louis states he writes in “a way of realizing and expressing his deepest and darkest thoughts.”

Louis will be performing on April 21st at Fiddlers Elbow in Camden, London, but he will performing at festivals soon! Be the first to know!
